Relentless desert sun had left the shingle surface dry and chalky, with visible mineral washout along the ridge. Treated after a minor ridge cap repair.
Why rejuvenation was recommended
Arizona roofs take more direct UV per year than almost anywhere in the country, and that drives oil loss hard. The shingle mat was still intact and flexible enough to treat.
Results
Surface color and consistency restored. The homeowner is on a scheduled re-inspection every two years.
